She is harsh, she is strict but she cares. I love Rosa Hubermann so much! She just treats Liesel like she would her own child. Awww, if she doesn't bring tears to your eyes then you aren't human!

This character is a little more obscure because Land by Alex Campbell isn't a very hyped book...even if it should be...A LOT!
Cons is short for Constantine and is the main character's Grandma. She is such an influence and basically wants a better life for Christy, her granddaughter.

C'mon now, she is just so lovely. She looks after everyone like they are her own children and turns fierce when her children are messed with. OH YEAH! GO MOLLY!
This probably seems like a strange choice for this topic, but Katniss is the maternal figure that Prim never had. Their mum isn't much of a big deal in this series but Katniss just loves Prim unconditionally and is like the best maternal figure!
5) Aunt Jenna - The Vampire Diaries
This is another unusual one but Jenna actually turns out to be a great, laid back maternal figure. Maybe she is a little too laid back but hey ho, she cares and that is what matters. I think I like Jenna because she tells the truth too, she is straight and to the point, no mincing her words.
