REVIEW TIME

Here was my initial review on goodreads:

Characters:
Cinder is a brilliant character and overall my FAVE! She is kickass and so cool! A COMPUTER INSIDE YOUR HEAD, IF YOU PLEASE?! She is so well crafted from her wires to her lie-detector. Although it would be easy to, I don't pity her because she knows how shitty the people around her are and knows there is an injustice against her.

The people around her include Adri, her step-mother, and Pearl, her step-sister, who are evil, horrible and really don't know how to treat people.

Then we have Cinder's second step-sister, Peony. She is lovely! She dreams of going to the ball and dancing with Prince Kai and is overall off in the clouds. She doesn't hold a grudge against Cinder for being a cyborg and really cares about her and the family android Iko.

Okay, Iko is my kind of...girl? Android? Technically she is a robot, but her personality chip is 'faulty', which makes her seem more human. For example, she is also obsessed with Prince Kai and hyperventilates over him all the time. This means her fan goes wild rather than the human form of hyperventilating. She is the hero of the day and I really want an Iko in my life!

Next up we have Prince Kai and of course he is the heart throb and love interest in this story. I feel like he has a lot of weight on his shoulders which you'll understand when you read this book. Yes WHEN not IF!

Queen Levana is the Queen of Luna (the moon) and is a serious bitch. She has been seeking 'peace' with Earth for years but only on her terms. She wants it all, she wants to rule Earth aswell as Luna. Honestly a villain you love to hate.

Plot:
It all starts off with a visit from Prince Kai of the Eastern Commonwealth, who needs his Royal Android, Nainsi, to be fixed ASAP. Meanwhile, Iko, is hyperventilating in the corner. Cinder agrees and all is well, the Prince goes off on his merry travels.

BUT, there is an outbreak of Letumosis, the blue fever, in Cinder's market. This is a disease that is fatal with no cure to be found on Earth. It's an epidemic and is widespread, even to the Emperor, Kai's father. First you develop blue spots on your skin, you feel dizzy, you sweat but are cold etc. It's also called the plague and sounds horrible. No-one survives it and there are no known antidotes.

Enter Queen Levana. Bitchface as I so affectionately call her. She is seriously evil and wants to rule Earth. BUT, that isn't what makes her evil. The people of Luna are called Lunars and have a special power. This power is to manipulate people's bio-electricity to make them see, feel or do something that they have no control over. For example, they have a 'glamour', which makes people see them as whatever the Lunar desires. So, if the Lunar wants you to see them as the most beautiful thing ever, then you will. Therefore, Queen Levana tricks the people of Luna into compliance and rules with this power rather than fairness.

Honestly, this is only the outline of this book. If I was to carry on explaining the plot, I would SPOIL it for you all and I really don't wanna do that. READ IT!

Overall feelings:

My overall feelings after reading this book are...
"OH MY GOD GIVE ME MORE!"
The World is seriously infectious and just makes you want to read more about the futuristic advances and learn more about Cinder. I found Cinder and Iko to be my favourite characters and I am SO glad that there is a sequel because otherwise you would be left hanging.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO READ THIS BOOK!
